So I decided to try just your average local market’s rose water instead of Mario Badescu’s or Herbivore’s, to see if it worked nicely because of the purity of the product.
Rose water claims to refresh and hydrate the skin giving a youthful look, result of various anti-inflamatory properties and antioxidants. Mine had also collagen and glycerin, but in minimal concentration.
I used it by misting the product on my face after cleanser and before serum, and just randomly throughout the day.
What happened:
Hydrated my skin. It felt moisturized and soft to the touch.
Made my skin naturally glowy, poreless and kind of? blurred some imperfections.
Didn’t left my skin greasy or even tacky after it had soaked in.
Made my moisturizer apply more nicely (it was so smooth) and consequently absorb it as well.
Definitely helped with lessening the redness of my face, especially in some little pimples.
Kinda started to heal my post-inflamatory acne scars? I’ll update on that one to make sure it wasn’t my imagination.
I’ve been using it for 3 days, but I’ll post more in a week or so. I’m also using it in some bigger scars to show some before-after pictures.
As of now, I do recommend rose water. Also, I strongly believe your local market’s is good enough for your face (and it’s budget friendly!)
EDIT: Of course make sure it’s a trusty supplier, do not just buy any bottle you see.
